Reading Animorphs #52 (The Sacrifice) and Ax is giving me all sorts of feels. I dunno why people tend to write him off as a one-sided character when he’s easily one of the most complex in the group. He’s a poor bb alien stranded light-years away from his home and family and has to struggle with learning about humans and fitting in with the group, and in these last few books he has to decide who he’s ultimately going to fight for: his species, or the humans?
And I really liked his issues with Cassie in this book, because he’s always been pretty close with her. She invited him to eat dinner with her family (in Jake morph) and took care of him when he was sick, and she was probably the one he saw the most outside of meetings and missions (besides Tobias) since he lived so close to her.
i guess animorphs is supposed to be a kids’ series but rachel and tobias bring me to tears at least 3 times a day so
oh my god. the morphing looks INCREDIBLE, her smile, her hair i just…i really really love this, the way her feet and arms are going at once and TOBIAS LOOKS SO GOOD TOO

Curiosity
Look I finished one! Or rather: Look- clean lineart and flats! Beware my proclivity to striped ungulates with fluff. Though I do have to credit inspiration where due for the mane.
Something still looks off about the length of the tail but I’m happy enough with it now. I imagine most Andalites to be rather curious by nature thanks to the ability to morph. Perhaps this is a rather young individual still growing out of fawn markings?
